What’s New?

On March 15, 2024, several updates and additions were made to the SOS Inventory user guide. Notable additions include three new general sales setting descriptions, along with an invoice setting and description for using shipping costs from shipments. Definitions in the item field descriptions were updated, and rules for working with vendor-item catalog entries were revised. Corrections were made to points regarding purchase order prepayments and landed costs. In the Invoices section, references to QuickBooks Online settings were updated for clarity. Chapter 9, which focuses on manufacturing (production), underwent a complete rewrite to provide more detailed and precise information. Additionally, custom field rules were clarified, and two new subsections were added covering inventory level updates with multiple Shopify locations and restrictions in syncing customer data to SOS Inventory. 

Over the past year, several revisions were made to the SOS Inventory user guide to enhance clarity and accuracy. Notable updates included rewritten sections for inventory tracking in QuickBooks Online, how to investigate inventory and cost basis errors, and the Inventory Value report. Additionally, corrections were made to various sections, such as the price tiers and contract manufacturing workflow. New content was introduced, including the Chapter 16 additions on data utilities, and adjustments were made to the setup checklist sections for QuickBooks Online and SOS accounts.
