I actually started with SOS, golly, probably about seven or eight years ago. I had a client that had bought a manufacturing company, actually it was a dog treat company; they made various dog treats and animal treats, and they bought this company. They had absolutely no system whatsoever and had done the research and bought SOS and asked me to help him with it.

So, I put that one in, learned a heck of a lot about it, and realized that it is an incredibly good inventory system for really, really good price. It seems to cover pretty much anything that you would need.

Since that time, I think I’ve worked with about 20 different clients in all kinds of industries so everything from liquor distilling to food service to I’m working with one now that’s just guitar amplifiers, so it’s just kind of all over the place. And I really like the fact that it is extremely flexible. It’s not so complex that a small business gets just buried in it. All of my clients are small to mid-size businesses. I don’t have any large companies and I’ve just been really happy with it. The interface with QuickBooks works really well. You know I just think it’s a really, really good system.

I did have the opportunity to look at another system and now I have forgotten the name of it.  A client was already on it. They were looking at SOS to maybe move off and it was actually made for a much larger company, but man it just didn’t have as much in it as SOS does, so I was pretty pleasantly surprised by what SOS does and for the price it does, you know, it’s really everything you need.
